BACKGROUNDClassyLinks Creative Consultants, Inc. (CCCI) dba E. H. Mott Learning Center is a unique 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that assist underserved, underachieved, and /or underdeveloped children, youth and families in the Orlando area. Formed in February 2016, we provide a variety of creative and theory-based services and supports to partners ages 3 to adulthood. We help shape attitudes and behaviors that empower individuals/families to develop essential skills and competencies required for stable, healthy and productive lives. We view learning and learners as elements of various systems. Thus, we offer a systematic and wholistic approach to teaching and learning where learners become advocates of their own success. We infuse systems thinking and social emotional learning into all of our strategies, focusing on prevention, intervention and remediation. We offer partners more learner-centered personal and environmental supports to create more desirable outcomes; build stronger individuals, families, and communities; and promote success across multiple life domains.

OUR MISSIONOur mission is to enhance strengths, growth potential and opportunities for at-risk learners to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to master their desired goals. We help partners become advocates of their own success by helping them transform their way of thinking about how they learn, what they learn, and why learning is important in reducing conflict between their current performance and their desired performance in varying circumstances.
Our purpose is to successfully partner with at-risk children, youth and families predisposed to conditions that enhances the potential for academic, behavioral and social challenges that lead to risky behaviors. We assess needs; advocate for change and improved outcomes; help partners learn to embrace challenges and setbacks as crucial learning opportunities. We incorporate a diverse body of creative and critical tools to bolster social emotional learning. Initiatives are geared towards strengthening natural talents and abilities while enhancing internal and external assets. We help create “new” paths that pave the way to learning, reinforce universal values, and help partners become better performing citizens throughout life. |

Our Educational PhilosophyAt E. H. Mott Learning Center, we believe to be most effective, we must create a safe environment that is interactive and collaborative; and that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It is our wish that each learner observes the E. H. Mott Learning Center to be a welcoming environment as it accommodates a variety of learning styles and needs that encourages learners to present their individuals challenges and the challenges of others, without fear of ridicule.
Each learner will have a voice, a face and a place at E. H. Mott Learning Center. We will offer the benefit of peer-to-peer learning by enriching their environment through personal experiences and knowledge and by integrating new knowledge into practice. We promote independent thinking as it is essential for each learner to take what he/she learns at E. H. Mott Learning Center and apply it to real-life situations. Therefore, we challenge each learner, parent and support personnel to help make our learning environment an arena for developing positive attitudes towards learning and achieving positive outcomes. ‘All learning has an emotional base.’ –Plato |
